Why Do Boudoir?

Boudoir is all about making you feel like your best self. Similar to the "glamour shots" of the 80's, these sessions are designed to build confidence. Images capture your best angles, emotions, and feminine features. My goal is to help each client see how truly gorgeous she is, inside and out!

I'm somewhat of a minimalist and I believe that less can be more. You don't have to have an "over-the-top" outfit or show a lot of skin to feel sexy. Many women prefer to wear a simple evening gown or off-the shoulder shirt- and they look absolutely stunning! However, for those who WANT to wear a show-stopping dress, lingerie or do an implied nude, I got you! Potential clients should be aware I do NOT shoot nudity (no private bits actually showing)- if that is what you are looking for, I'm not the photographer for you (I'm not judging; it's just not something I'm comfortable shooting).

Along those same lines about minimalism, potential clients should know that I do not believe in heavy editing. I run all of my photos through Lightroom and Photoshop editing software to do some minor skin smoothing and blemish reduction. I want you to be able to look at your artwork and recognize how beautiful you are NOW, not how "how beautiful you would be IF your waist was smaller or your boobs and butt were curvier."

I am also obsessed with black and white photography and I believe it captures emotion and detail better than traditional color images. For that reason, all my images are black and white. However, I do make an exception to this for themed mini sessions- I mean, Christmas and Valentine pics HAVE to have a little red in them, right?!

I want you to feel prepared for your session, but not overwhelmed. It is my goal to provide as much for my clients as possible. Right now, that includes a step-by-step breakdown of the process, prep guide, wardrobe with sizes XS-2XL, and makeup counter for getting ready. In the future, I would love to be able to add glam services- professional hair and makeup so you can relax and enjoyed getting pampered before your session!
